Kobi Shefi

Narodil se v roce 1960 v Izraeli, kytaru studoval u Gila Dora. Po absolvování
Rimon School of Jazz and Contemporary Music hrál Kobi s různými skupinami:
Nofet, Parpar, Rosalan, Talking Six, Talking Five, Talking Three, Duo-Et, Trialog
a Nishmot Hatapooz. Kobi se objevil na významných
izraelských hudebních festivalech jako Red Sea Jazz Festival,
Israel Festival a Haifa Festival. Spolupracoval s Paulem Blayem,
nahrál tři CD ve spolupráci s Haroldem Rubinem, Leszkem Zadlo a Igalem Fony,
podílel se na nich i jako skladatel. Komponoval i pro divadlo, vystupoval
na Suitcase Festival v bulharské Sofii. Kobi je členem tria K. E. I.,
které hraje expresivní free jazz. Založil Common Bond, pro nějž komponuje
a aranžuje.

Born 1960 in Israel, Kobi Shefi studied the guitar under Gil Dor. After he
graduated the Rimon School of Jazz and Contemporary Music, Kobi formed and
played in various ensembles such as Nofet, Parpar, Talking Six, Trialog
and Nishmot Hatapooz. Kobi has been a participant in all major Israeli
jazz festivals, such as the Red Sea Jazz Festival, Israel Festival and
Haifa Festival. He also appeared in the prestigious Tel-Aviv Museum jazz
series, featuring Paul Blay. Kobi recorded three CDs both as a player
and as a composer, in cooperation with Harold Rubin, Leszek Zadlo and
Igal Fony. He composed for the theater and performed at the Suitcase
Festival in Sofia, Bulgaria. Kobi is also a member of the K. E. I. trio,
playing free expressive music. He is the creator of Common Bond, as well
as the main composer and arranger of the group's music.
